Summary
We are looking for a Product Designer to join the Cash App commerce design team. As designers at Cash App, our focus is to create world-class experiences for our customers. We pride ourselves in rethinking established paradigms and bringing creative solutions into existence in order to redefine the world’s relationship with money.
Our product designers take a product, feature, or experience from ideation to production. This includes vision setting, designing solutions, prototyping, bringing along cross-functional teams, overseeing implementation, and collaborating with other designers, researchers, product managers, analysts, and engineers.
As part of Commerce design, your charter will be to create simple, delightful experiences that connect our customers with our merchants to help both thrive. You’ll work closely with partners to define product strategy and craft innovative experiences. And as part of Cash App Commerce, you’ll be intently focused on making Cash App the most loved way to pay.

Qualifications
You have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer
- A passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging solutions
- An innate understanding of the end-to-end design process—from identifying customer needs to delivering exceptional experiences
- Strong visual design craft and prototyping skills
- A starter mentality, going quickly to design in order to workshop solutions and create clarity
- A passion for an iterative process—thinking fast on your feet, coming up with solutions to important challenges, and taking calculated risks
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to align teams and stakeholders around a shared vision
- A constructive voice in design critique settings both supports and pushes team members
- The ability to apply both consumer insights as well as product thinking and intuition to inform design decisions and influence the product roadmap
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to connect the dots across the entire customer journey
Even better if you have:
- Previous work experience in a consumer-focused fintech organization
- Demonstrated impact on product strategy and user experience in previous roles
- Encouraged innovative approaches to design techniques, enabling the design team to embrace different angles to a design problem
- A growth mindset, proactively seeking out opportunities to improve, always searching for new knowledge and ideas. You experiment, learn from failure, and iterate.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $189,000 - USD $283,600
Zone B: USD $179,600 - USD $269,400
Zone C: USD $170,100 - USD $255,100
Zone D: USD $160,700 - USD $241,100
