Summary
As the Senior Product Manager for LiveOps Discovery, you will own the strategy, vision, and corresponding roadmap to provide and improve the discovery of all live events and curated content on Roblox. You will report to the Head of Discovery.
Crucial challenges you will address include but not limit to:
- Helping Roblox grow strategic content verticals and attract corresponding new audiences while improving the long-term ecosystem health and content diversity and balancing the many-sided marketplace needs to get there.
- Crafting compelling and effective organization and display of LiveOps related content.
- Helping Roblox achieve global success across all ages, while ensuring a trusted and safe discovery system.
- Figuring out the relationship between discovery surfaces for LiveOps-related content and the rest of discovery surfaces to ensure we have a cohesive Discovery system.
You Will:
- Build products that delight users, creators, and advertisers and apply the unique qualities of Roblox to provide, improve, and scale discovery of content related to LiveOps.
- Map user, creator, advertiser, and platform value to traceable metrics and objectives to continuously measure and optimize outcomes.
- Break down your vision and strategy to executable roadmaps, including but not limited to expanding content corpus, building Content Management tools, optimizing UI/UX on Home/Search/Discover/Notifications.
- Work across the company to accomplish your vision, understand and strategize content supply and demand, and collaborate with other relevant product areas.
- Deterministically find and prioritize the most impactful challenges by analyzing trade-offs.
- Provide guidance and insights to non-technical audiences and hold your own with world-class experts on machine learning and data science.
You Have:
- 5+ years of product manager experience with expertise in building & growing discovery products such as recommendation and merchandising systems, and notification platforms.
- Ability and experience building products from first principles, leading to industry-defining innovations.
- Expertise working closely with data to opportunity size and prioritize opportunities, experiment and learn, and quickly iterate.
- Expertise bringing together different groups towards a shared objective, including executive leadership.
- Experience leading cross-functional execution with various teams including engineering, data science, design, marketing, partnerships, legal, and policy, to conceptualize, develop, test, and launch impactful features.
- Domain experience with user generated content (UGC), social, gaming.
- Passionate about defining what the metaverse means for people of all ages and the strategy to grow it to billions of people globally.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, supporting arguments via data, insights and clear logic chains and conveying ideas through detailed specifications or wireframes.
- Comfortable in an environment with competing resources and priorities.
- High degree of independent drive.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

$269,640—$318,090 USD
