Summary

This is a multifaceted role, working with both Security and Product Engineering within the firm. The main focus will be to redesign, develop and enhance several internal systems to deliver security by design, as well as supervise support for those systems.

As the key player in this role, you'll focuses on building and iterating on security components that meet our customers or internal stakeholders needs, thus requiring a strong understanding of secure coding and application security principles.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, build and launch various security-related features and applications.
2. Work closely with engineering teams to define, adopt mitigations, and develop new solutions for secure development and operations.
3. Evaluate, prototype, implement, and support security-focused tools and services while maintaining a strong knowledge of current security threats and operational best practices.
4. Compose a set of security architecture documentation (e.g. principles, tender requirements, security test scopes/scripts, go-live criteria) that new projects can leverage

Qualifications

1. 15+ years of overall experience including at least 8+ years in a developer role.
2. Ability to interpret and translate various business and technical requirements into operational actions
3. Experience integrating with REST and Websocket APIs.
4. Knowledge of network security architecture concepts, including topology, protocols, components, and principles.
5. Relevant areas of expertise include network security, PKI, usable security, anti-abuse, cryptography, web application security, and memory corruption/sandboxing.
6. Familiarity with Kubernetes / Ansible / Chef, and with one or more programming language: Python, Golang, C, NodeJS.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and a confident communicator.
8. Ability to work independently and comfortably to tight schedules.
9. Have worked in a fast paced or fintech environment.
