Summary

In this role, you’ll:

1. Build cloud-native data ingest and aggregation processes that intake gigabytes of data per day
2. Add features to our product suite that detect activities for market manipulation, fraud, behavioural patterning, and more 
3. Build scalable API services on AWS that handle 1,000’s requests per second
4. Help the team to modernise our stack to operate at 10x current capacity
5. Debug production issues across multiple systems and microservices

We’re looking for candidates who have:

1. Experience in designing and implementing cloud-native microservices-based distributed systems in a major cloud provider like AWS or GCP
2. You have a bias to ship and iterate alongside product management and design partners
3. Experience with object-oriented programming languages. We mostly use Java but appreciate a variety of languages! 
4. Strong technical background with extensive experience working directly on backend systems/ projects
5. You take pride in materializing product ideas into production
6. Exposure to or interest in the cryptocurrency technology ecosystem
7. Experience mentoring other engineers, leading cross-team projects, and driving design and technology decisions is a plus
8. Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes is a plus!
9. A genuine excitement for significantly scaling large data systems
