Coinbase Developer Platform and the Dev Portal is the destination for building and integrating web3 solutions, services, and products. We partner with other Coinbase products such as Base, Wallets-as-a-service, Staking, CB Pay, Advanced Trading, Commerce, Exchange so web3 developers can start building their onchain apps in minutes.

Our self-custodial Staking API offers programmatic access to Coinbase's best-in-class staking validators and rewards data. The Coinbase Staking API empowers you to deliver a fully-featured staking experience for your users with one common interface across protocols. We offer users access to various protocols with more being added on a regular basis.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Design, develop, and maintain highly interactive, responsive, and user-friendly services with focus on developer ergonomic for Coinbase Staking using Golang, TypeScript, and Solidity
2. Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate our SDK with APIs and smart contracts for seamless staking
3. Implement new features, enhancements, and optimizations to drive the growth and success of Coinbase Staking
4. Optimize developer ergonomics, ensuring a smooth developer experience
5. Develop and maintain reusable, modular, and well-documented public SDKs
6. Troubleshoot and debug complex on and off chain issues
7. Collaborate with external and internal developer to implement an intuitive experience 
8. Contribute to the development of our design system and smart contract best practices
9. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality standards

What we look for in you:

1. 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on both backend and smart contract development
2. Mastery of Golang, Solidity, and TypeScript; familiar with Ruby is a plus
3. Experience in smart contract engineering and their interactions with off chain systems
4. Experience with integrating backend APIs with open source SDKs
5. Familiarity with different testing frameworks, patterns, and experience with writing unit and integration tests
6. Knowledge of Onchain to backend system interaction best practices to ensure a smooth staking experience
7. Understanding of Onchain security best practices and experience with implementing secure coding practices for financial systems
8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to find elegant solutions to complex challenges in the crypto staking space
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers
10. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
11. Passion for Onchain/Web3 and understanding of blockchain technologies, particularly Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

$180,625—$212,500 USD
