Coinbase Developer Platform and the Dev Portal is the destination for building and integrating web3 solutions, services, and products. We partner with other Coinbase products such as Base, Wallets-as-a-service, Staking, CB Pay, Advanced Trading, Commerce, Exchange so web3 developers can start building their onchain apps in minutes.

The Portal & Services team owns the portal frontend and backend services that make the platform functional, including user onboarding and IAM as well as other non-product specific services such as customer billing or general API key management. 

What you’ll be doing:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing full-stack systems in the CDP Portal using Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
2. Implement new features, improvements, and integrations to drive the growth and success of the CDP Portal
3. Develop and maintain reusable, modular, and well-documented frontend components and libraries
4. Troubleshoot and debug complex frontend issues, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
5. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement intuitive user flows
6. Contribute to the development of our design system and frontend best practices
7. Design and develop secure, reliable, and well-documented backend service APIs for internal and external consumption  
8. Troubleshoot and debug complex full-stack issues, ensuring platform stability, reliability, and security
9. Participate in code reviews, on-call rotation, and foster a team-wide environment that welcomes constructive feedback to maintain high code quality standards 

What we look for in you:

1. 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a strong focus on frontend development
2. Mastery of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and Go
3. Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), caching systems (Redis, Memcached), and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
4. Proficiency in React, and experience with state management libraries like Redux
5. Strong understanding of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility and accessibility best practices
6. Experience with integrating frontend components with backend APIs
7. Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Karma, and experience with writing unit and integration tests
8. Knowledge of frontend performance optimization techniques and tools like Lighthouse or WebPageTest
9. Understanding of web security best practices and experience with implementing secure coding practices for financial systems
10. Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven architectures
11. Comprehensive knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience with API development, integration and authentication protocols like OAuth and JWT
12. Familiarity with AWS and containerization using Kubernetes
13. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with designers and product managers
14. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
15. Passion for Onchain/Web3 and understanding of blockchain technologies, particularly Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

$180,625—$212,500 USD
