The Growth team is dedicated to expanding Kraken's global user base by optimizing every stage of the user journey, from initial impressions to long-term retention. The Growth Funnel teams focus on creating experiences that captivate and guide new users, ensuring a seamless journey from the start and throughout their entire lifecycle as Kraken customers. Our team collaborates closely with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Design to achieve our goals of increasing activation rates.Our mission is to streamline the activation process, helping users quickly unlock the value of our platform while setting the gold standard for first-time user experiences in the industry. We continuously refine our strategies using data-driven insights, testing, and user feedback to optimize the activation process and ensure users experience the full value of Kraken.

The opportunity

2. Design and execute onboarding experiences that captivate new users and streamline their journey.
3. Optimize the activation process to ensure users quickly realize the value of our platform.
4. Create and refine a first-time user experience that sets the gold standard in our industry.
5. Develop innovative features to incentivise engagement and loyalty.
6. Continuously test, learn, and improve strategies based on user behaviour and feedback.
7. Set the standard for high-quality code and lead complex software systems development
8. Significantly influence technical decisions, contribute to technical strategy discussions, and shape product/domain decisions with an expert understanding of engineering best practices
9. Mentor junior and senior engineers and provide constructive feedback
10. Master multiple technologies and stay ahead of the curve with new tools and trends
11. Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and fault-tolerant systems, with a deep understanding of complex software development architecture and design patterns
12. Lead and collaborate on complex initiatives, and drive feedback and growth across teams
13. Drive process improvements and lead by example with advanced experience in multiple software development processes

What you'll bring

Skills you should HODL

1. 6+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and mobile applications
2. Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and proficiency with React and React Native frameworks
3. Experience with Next.js, RESTful APIs and WebSockets
4. Experience with frontend testing frameworks
5. Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tooling
6. Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles
7. Experience within a large technology organization or fast growing startup
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to haves

1. Knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry and blockchain technology
