Summary

BitGo is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our HeightZero team. We work from the office (Palo Alto, CA) 3 days per week, on Tuesday and Thursday you're welcome to work remotely. 

Responsibilities:

1. Design and build scalable, well abstracted, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to integrate blockchains and BitGo functionality into our HeightZero products. 
2. Own functionality and scalability features by taking responsibility from research, implementation to deployment.
3. Build integration libraries and SDKs to interface with our server and APIs
4. Expose and document functionality to the UI, third-party developers, and our internal and external tooling
5. Collaborate closely with all engineering teams and product managers to ensure consistency in understanding of technical requirements and overall work quality
6. Provide mentorship to your peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices

Required

1. At least 6 years of backend software development
2. Ability to work and think independently in a fast-paced environment
3. Discipline and ownership of one’s efforts
4. Strong experience with server-side languages like TypeScript/Node.JS
5. Great with unit and functional testing and debugging
6. Great at providing simple and extensible abstractions to complex systems
7. Experience in Git/GitHub and branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, etc
8. Great at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
9. Experience working with designing and implementing various types of databases

Preferred

1. Understanding of and experience working in the blockchain and / or security industry
2. Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain
3. Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures
4. Familiarity with AWS Amplify, ELB, and EC2
5. Have real world experience building distributed systems that scale

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending upon your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $165,000 - $210,000 USD base salary. Equity, an annual performance bonus and the benefits outlined above are also a part of this role's package.
