Summary

The Accounting & Finance team at Chainalysis splits their time between fine-tuning the details and evaluating the 30,000 foot view of our business. Our job is to help the company plan for growth by investing in the right resources and audit our expenditures and revenues to ensure we’re being fiscally responsible. 

As a Senior Technical Accountant, you will provide technical guidance on accounting issues, assist with the implementation of new accounting requirements, support audits, and ensure compliance with US GAAP. Responsibilities also include analyzing complex accounting issues and maintaining documentation for various accounting areas.

In this role, you will…

1. Assist in performing accounting analysis, draft memorandums, and provide technical accounting guidance.
2. Consider implication of new accounting pronouncements relevant to the Company on the financial statements, disclosures, and current accounting policies.
3. Assist in M&A due diligence and integrations.
4. Assisting with planning and executing external audits.
5. Help lead operational maturity projects designed to improve the Accounting and/or Finance Departments.
6. Create and maintain documentation of accounting policies and ensure that key processes are performed as prescribed.
7. Contribute in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and management reporting.
8. Responsible for global stock based accounting and aspects of cap table management.

We’re looking for candidates who have…

1. A bachelor’s degree in accounting
2. A strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX, and Financial Reporting 
3. A strong command of Excel 
4. Excellent prioritization and project management skills
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with senior level management
6. Experience at a Big 4 Accounting Firm

Nice to have experience: 

1. Experience at a pre-IPO SaaS company
2. CPA
