Summary

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about DeFi to join us as a Smart Contract Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for building and shipping the next generation of Treehouse DeFi products that will change the DeFi landscape as we know it. The ideal candidate would have a deep understanding of Solidity and experience in deploying smart contracts.

Responsibilities

1. Build and implement well-organized, secure, and innovative smart contracts
2. Design and implement peripheral mechanisms and back-end components for Treehouse dApp and ecosystem of products
3. Integrate analytics and risk metrics for crypto portfolios
4. Research and test existing and new blockchain technologies and applications
5. Participate in discussions from the initial product ideas to launch
6. Collaborate with teams to assess the feasibility of scaling solutions and identify potential challenges
7. Engage with internal and external auditing teams
8. Advise on emerging blockchain technologies and trends
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest hacks, tooling, and security practices

Skills & Requirements

1. 5 years of experience as a programmer
2. 3+ years of experience in developing and releasing secure and production ready smart contracts in Solidity
3. 3 years of experience programming in python, C++, or rust
4. Proficient in blockchain data structures, EVM-based storage and querying.
5. Experience with writing and reading subgraphs queries
6. Possess a strong knowledge of Blockchain technology and development cycles
7. Experience with running full nodes and testnets
8. Self-motivated, proactive, and ability to deliver on deadlines.
9. Strong project management and communication skills
10. Able to independently explore and research new domain knowledge
11. Strong logical thinking and a problem solver with an interest in building complex smart contracts
12. A passion for DeFi

Preferred Skills

1. Proficient in Solidity
2. Knowledge of UNIX based OS and scripting
3. Experience with dApps or AWS software development
4. Familiar with Agile project management concepts
5. Understand modern packaging and distribution technologies such as PIP, Docker
