Summary

What You will Do

1. Own the end to end product lifecycle of identifying, designing, and building new features
2. Contribute and lead backend design discussions, stand up meetings, and code reviews
3. Develop and own best practices for backend application development with a focus on high throughput, high reliability, and low latency
4. Identify opportunities to improve existing practices and uphold Alchemy's high technical quality bar
5. Write stable, high coverage test cases for features you ship
6. Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
7. Collaborate with other engineers, PMs, and designers

What We are Looking For

5+ years of relevant industry experience

1. BS/BA degree in Computer Science
2. Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining core backend software components (experience with API platforms a plus)
3. Ability to solve complex design, scaling, latency, or performance problems in high-throughput, low-latency systems
4. Experience with AWS technologies is a plus
5. Experience with production distributed systems, web applications, and microservice architecture
6. Experience developing with Java (Micronauts), Typescript (Node), and/or Python (Django)
7. Proven track record building highly available and highly scalable systems
8. Self-starter attitude and the ability to execute new ideas with autonomy
9. Know how to find the right balance between perfection and shipping quickly
10. Web3 experience, a plus
11. Founded a company or built side projects, a plus
12. Experience in startups, a plus

The base salary range for this position is estimated to be between $135,000 - $350,000 annually. Please note this range reflects base salary only, and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Your salary will be determined by various factors, including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business needs.
