Summary

Developer Experience (DevX) is responsible for making sure all engineers at Coinbase build high-quality products while being productive and engaged. We do this by providing infrastructure, libraries, frameworks, and tooling to make it easier and faster to build high quality applications. Within DevX, our Onchain Pod is focused on defining the future of developer experience for onchain developers, both within Coinbase and in the broader crypto ecosystem. We believe that the onchain platform is the most important builder platform since the internet (“online”).

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Leading the new Onchain Pod and helping define its charter, vision, mission, and roadmap.
2. Building and maintaining UI libraries, tooling, and infrastructure systems to support and scale the onchain platform.
3. Working with Kubernetes and cloud services to automate and maintain critical blockchain infrastructure.
4. Engaging in research and prototyping innovative ideas to enhance the efficiency and scalability of blockchain clients.
5. Contributing to open-source projects such as the Geth and Optimism.

What We Look For in You:

1. You have at least 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
2. Strong React and React Native experience
3. Extensive knowledge of semantic HTML and proper use of ARIA.
4. Experience with assistive technologies, such as screen readers, voice dictation, and magnification.

Nice to Haves:

1. Experience in developing and shipping features for core UI systems – e.g. design systems – or infrastructure systems.
2. Contributions to open-source crypto projects, such as OP Stack or other blockchain technologies.
3. Experience with Golang, Geth, Foundry, Solidity, or other crypto tools.
4. Familiarity with Kubernetes or cloud providers like AWS or GCP.
5. Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Pay Range:

$147,000—$174,000 USD
