As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, Home Lending Technology division, you will play a pivotal role in an agile team, focusing on enhancing, conceptualizing, and delivering secure, stable, and scalable components of our cutting-edge technology products. As an integral member of a software engineering team, your duties will encompass designing, developing, and technically troubleshooting various aspects within a technical product, application, or system, all while gaining the essential skills and experience for career advancement.

Job responsibilities

1. Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
2. Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
3. Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
4. Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
5. Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
6. Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
7. Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
8. Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

1. Formal training or certification on Java J2EE concepts and 2+ years applied experience
2. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
3. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
4. Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
5. Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
6. Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
7. Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
8. Experience on , UI Fullstack, React JS, Node JS 
9. Good experience of web development experience including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
