As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities:

  1. Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks
  2. Be accountable for decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedureses
  3. Ensures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders
  4. Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary
  5. Provides input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team
  6. Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  1. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  2. Experience in designing and implementing iOS applications using Swift UI
  3. Experience working with API integration
  4. Experience in iOS Frameworks like Foundation, UIKit, CocoaTouch, and Core Data.
  5. Experience in using Xcode-provided tools like Debug Memory Graph, Debug View Hierarchy, Instruments for Profiling
  6. Experience with One or more Design Patterns – MVC, MVVM, MVP, Singleton
  7. Working knowledge of Git/Bitbucket version control
  8. Created an application that is available in Apple's AppStore
  9. Proficiency with Linux, Mac OS X, GNU tools, and scripting languages
  10. Understanding of build systems CI/CD (Jenkins)
  11. Experience with Unit Testing frameworks and Code coverage tools for Swift 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  1. Understands the importance of unit testing and is able to write meaningful unit tests
  2. Understanding of GIT and GIT workflow
  3. Pair programming ability is a bonus
  4. Experience leading teams of technologists
  5. Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives
