Join our Crypto team to help integrate Kraken’s systems with an ever-expanding universe of cryptocurrencies and blockchains. As a member of this team, your focus is elevating our clients' crypto journey and delivering new and exciting ways to accelerate crypto adoption. Your counterparts will be the hardcore Rust backend engineering teams, the blockchain maxi who make the kernel of the crypto teams and the React enthusiasts who finely craft our beautiful looking UI.

Skills you should HODL

1. 3+ years of experience in software engineering
2. Proficiency in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust
3. Demonstrated commitment to a security-first mindset when designing systems
4. Capability to autonomously debug issues across the stack, including OS, network, and application layers
5. Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies, including RPC protocols, Kafka, and Event Driven Systems
6. Knowledge in one or more blockchain ecosystems such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos, Solana, Substrate is a huge plus
7. Proficiency with Typescript (Node.js) is a plus
8. Strong passion for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies
9. Pragmatic and solution-oriented, stoic in the face of many obstacles
10. Proactively adapt to rapidly evolving technologies and apply innovative solutions to dynamic challenges, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced development environment
11. Demonstrates a receptive mindset, adept at engaging in constructive dialogue on complex subjects with colleagues, while remaining adaptable and open to alternative perspectives
