Summary

Position description

Our client is looking for a skilled Solana Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of the Solana blockchain, experience developing smart contracts, and a passion for contributing to decentralized ecosystems. As a Solana Developer, you’ll work on integrating Solana into their platform, developing decentralized applications (dApps), and ensuring a seamless user experience for our community.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain smart contracts on the Solana blockchain, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
2. Integrate Solana functionalities into our platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build decentralized applications (dApps) that align with Status’s mission.
3. Design, implement, test, and audit protocol upgrades and additions
4. Optimize code to improve performance on the Solana network, staying updated on the latest advancements in Solana and blockchain development.
5. Troubleshoot and debug Solana-based applications, identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
6. Contribute to open-source projects and documentation to strengthen the Solana developer community.

Requirements

1. Proficiency in Rust programming language with a strong understanding of Solana smart contract development and Solana Web3.js.
2. Experience with Solana tools and libraries (e.g., Anchor framework, Serum).
3. Solid understanding of the Solana blockchain and its architecture
4. Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals and smart contract security best practices.
5. Experience with Web3 technologies and front-end development (React/Typescript) is a plus.
6. Working knowledge of information security issues
7. Ability to work autonomously and collaborate in a remote, decentralized environment.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn and adapt in the evolving blockchain landscape.

What does success in this role look like?

1. In three months, you have become our go-to Solana/Rust smart contract/program developer working on important smart contract/programs delivering quality and thoroughly tested code.
2. You’ll have taken on independent code review responsibilities and are collaborating on the design of new instructions/upgrades.
