About the Role: We are on the lookout for a Senior Blockchain Engineer with a strong focus on low-latency optimizations and distributed systems. If you’re experienced in libp2p, protobuf, network programming, and have a solid grasp of blockchain concepts like cryptography and signature schemes, this role is for you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and optimize low-latency systems and distributed protocols.
  2. Implement and enhance network solutions for scalable P2P or blockchain networks, primarily using Libp2p (in Golang).
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  4. Lead and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance.

Required Skills competitive 

  1. Strong proficiency in Golang and libp2p
  2. Deep understanding of blockchain principles, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic protocols
  3. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  4. Writing good technical documentation for use by internal teams
  5. Demonstrate depth of knowledge in a specific area while maintaining a breadth of knowledge across multiple ecosystem topics.

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Must be able to communicate in English.
  3. Demonstrated experience in low-latency optimizations and distributed systems.
  4. Strong expertise in protobuf, network programming (libp2p), and distributed protocols.
  5. Familiarity with blockchain technology, cryptographic concepts, and related technologies.
  6. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a drive to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Experience working remotely and asynchronously, with a moderate overlap in time availability during USA Eastern Time Zone working hours.

Additional Requirements & Expectations

  1. Location: Remote. 
  2. Employment Type: Full-Time/Contract

Salary range: (negotiable, dependent on how we assess your skills and experience throughout our interview process) We are happy to pay in any mix of fiat/crypto.
