What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

1. You will execute the strategic vision for Compliance by scaling operational performance, which includes the execution of operational OKRs, KPIs and initiatives.
2. Lead complex projects and operational process improvement initiatives using Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
3. In partnership with Compliance, Legal, Program Management, and other operational support partners (i.e. Workforce Management, Vendor Management, Analytics, Quality Assurance, etc.) you will create and scale operational mechanisms to manage productivity, improve quality, and contribute to best-in-class compliance operations.
4. You are responsible for the development of standard work and will utilize your Compliance background and team of Compliance professionals to collect feedback and drive upstream improvements to user guides, procedures, and policy.
5. Utilize an in-depth understanding of metrics, reporting, capacity planning and financials to make informed data-driven decisions.
6. Thoughtfully delegate tactical responsibilities and set performance expectations across the organization.
7. Hire, lead and develop a diverse, high performing team, setting up the organization for success through investments in career growth.

What we look for in you (i.e. job requirements):

1. Motivated by Coinbase’s mission
2. Minimum of 10 years of proven KYC/AML experience in financial services or technology organizations leading large teams (100-500+); 3+ years experience managing operations in a volatile/hyper-growth environment.
3. Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and risk management practices for financial services.
4. Hands-on involvement in developing and producing metrics and reporting.
5. Proficient in PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets.
6. A BA/BS degree in business, finance, and other related fields.

Nice to haves:

1. Advanced degree in business, finance, and other related fields.
2. Experience with and/or keen interest in cryptocurrency.
3. Experience working across multiple AML systems and programs simultaneously (e.g., experience in combinations of KYC, AML, and Sanctions).
4. Experience with or previous exposure to financial services regulators.
5. Professional certifications (e.g. CRCM, CAMS, CIA, CISA, and CICA).
6. Deep understanding of Google apps, JIRA, Salesforce Service Cloud.
7. Lean Six Sigma, or green/black belt certification

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Pay Range:

$174,250—$205,000 USD
