The team

We’re looking for a highly skilled Motion Designer with a strong design foundation — a detail-oriented, conceptual thinker who’s passionate about storytelling and crafting meaningful experiences for our customers. As part of the design team, you’ll collaborate closely with brand, marketing, content, and product partners to bring Kraken’s motion language to life across a variety of touchpoints.

The opportunity

1. Collaborate with stakeholders and Brand Design teammates to concept, design, and animate motion assets that elevate Kraken’s story
2. Develop and evolve Kraken’s motion design language for consistency across products, campaigns, and brand touchpoints
3. Execute polished, high-quality animations from ideation through final delivery, owning your work end-to-end
4. Participate in design reviews, giving and receiving thoughtful, constructive feedback
5. Contribute to a strong, inclusive, and creatively ambitious design team culture
6. Explore emerging motion techniques and tools to keep our work bold and future-facing
7. Partner closely with marketing, product, and design teams to deliver cohesive cross-functional creative

Skills you should HODL

1. A strong portfolio showcasing motion design, art direction, and strategic creative execution
2. Solid graphic design fundamentals — mastery of typography, layout, color, and composition
3. Expertise in After Effects and Adobe CC, with comfort in Figma and generative AI tools
4. Ability to conceptualize, direct, and execute motion projects that tell a compelling story
5. Self-sufficient and collaborative — comfortable working solo or under direction from creative leads
6. Clear, proactive communicator with experience sharing ideas and aligning with stakeholders
7. Motivated by fast-paced, evolving creative challenges — with a passion (or curiosity) for crypto and emerging tech

Nice to haves

1. Experience with 3D modelling and animation in Cinema 4D.
2. Experience guiding DIY shoots of product demos.
3. Experience with interactive motion design tools like Rive and Lottie.
4. Experience with sound design.
