Summary

As a Staff Accountant, Revenue, you will play an important role in our financial close process and scaling our operations. Your main responsibilities include AR invoicing, cash application, revenue contract review, and other elements of our billing to cash cycle. You will report to a Revenue Accounting Manager at our San Mateo headquarters.

You Will:

  1. Perform monthly GL accounting close tasks, including but not limited to preparing invoices, journal entries and account reconciliations for the assigned areas that may include cash, intercompany receivables, AR, revenue and cost of goods sold
  2. Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items
  3. Handle accurate recording of transactions while adhering to accounting standards
  4. Coordinate internal and external audit requests including preparation of supporting reports and documentation
  5. Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts to resolve billing/invoice inquiries, discrepancies, problems, etc.
  6. Maintain the A/R inbox daily, making sure all queries are addressed.
  7. Work on ad hoc projects, such as improving procedures, automating processes and researching accounting topics

You Have:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree (or equivalent work experience) and 2+ years of relevant work experience (CPA is helpful)
  2. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., US GAAP)
  3. Experience with internal controls and external audit processes
  4. Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (can maintain sophisticated spreadsheets).
  6. Experience related to NetSuite, Floqast, and Zip a plus.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$88,400—$108,300 USD
