Summary

Zero Hash is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help architect Zero Hash's Blockchain infrastructure and build new features. We are a high-performing team looking for an equally ambitious and driven teammate.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain and support over 50 digital assets
2. Architect and develop new features including staking-as-a-service
3. Subject matter expert for stakeholders including customers
4. Support the company’s vital business by contributing to the design and development of software in an event-driven microservices environment
5. Develop microservices in golang
6. Work with platform engineers to set up new services
7. Respond to production issues and alerts, participate in on-call rotations
8. When necessary, communicate directly with client technical teams

Requirements

1. 8+ years of experience, preferably in the Fintech space
2. Deep proficiency with Golang
3. Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
4. familiarity with cryptographic protocols
5. Experience building and operating software in an multi-regional cloud infrastructure
6. Secure software design and development - must be able to evaluate the security trade-offs when making design decisions
7. Must have a testing mindset
8. Experience leading a team and able to understand business requirements
9. A humble and scrappy get-it-done mindset; you’re resourceful and in your element going from 0 to 1
10. Excellent problem-solving skills - can troubleshoot complex systems
11. Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to independently layout and test clear hypotheses and solve problems without well-defined direction
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

1. Previous experience working on a production blockchain system. Ability to research new blockchain technologies.
2. Good understanding and relevant experience on smart contracts.
3. Involvement in the crypto and blockchain community (contribute to open source projects, conferences)
4. Bachelors in computer science or equivalent experience
