Summary

As a Staff Software Engineer working on Chainlink, you’ll collaborate with an experienced technical team of senior engineers, distributed systems computing experts, and security experts, who are all committed to building world-changing decentralized infrastructure. You’ll develop and build highly scalable, secure, and reliable software that will change the way smart contracts function at a fundamental level.

You will help build an open-sourced standard for developers to quickly build secure cross-chain services and applications. With a universal messaging interface, smart contracts can communicate across multiple blockchain networks, eliminating the need for developers to write custom code for building chain-specific integrations. CCIP opens up a new category of Web3.0 applications that can be built by developers for a multi-chain ecosystem.

Your Impact:

1. Designing and implementing new features within the CCIP product and contributing towards bringing new features into production
2. Thinking creatively about attack vectors, possible failures, and disaster scenarios, modeling them in reproducible test environments, and developing fixes
3. Build automation to manage and deploy smart contracts and other required tooling to manage the production releases
4. Build Network Health Monitoring ie, funnel data to Observability, collect valuable metrics, and set up alerts/dashboards

Requirements:

1. Strong interest in blockchain and other Web 3.0 technologies
2. Successful experience designing, building and scaling a production service
3. Experience owning multi-quarter projects, including planning, work breakdown, communication of progress, dependencies and risk mitigation
4. Experience working directly with product, stakeholders, and non-technical partners
5. Focused on building great products and willing to learn a range of technologies to do so
6. Experience partnering with product to plan and successfully deliver against a year+ long roadmap
7. At least 8+ years of professional software development experience.
8. Expert-level experience with Golang or any other strongly typed programming language
9. Experience developing web applications/services and backend APIs
10. Experience with building distributed systems and understanding of system design concepts
11. Experience with test-driven development and use of testing frameworks
12. Experience with observability (setting up data pipelines, alerts, and dashboards)
13. Excellent debugging skills with attention to detail and ability to write the scripts as required
14. Experience with Solidity (big plus)
15. Comfort and/or experience working as a remote employee as a part of a distributed team
16. Ability to write and communicate effectively
17. Preferred B.S. or higher in computer science, software engineering, or related technical field
