Summary

As a Staff Mobile Engineer on the Funding team you’ll be leading a cross-functional team of web, mobile, and backend engineers who build the consumer products and trading experiences that users love within the Gemini ecosystem. You’ll build our product roadmap alongside your product partners, help the team quickly ship features and test multiple iterations, and steward our world-class engineering culture.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to design and deliver high-quality products on iOS and Android.
2. Build efficient and reusable UI components and architect reliable, performant, and maintainable solutions.
3. Lead teams that continuously build, ship, learn, and iterate.
4. Drive technical innovation, processes, and best practices required to deliver best-in-class mobile applications.
5. Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. You have at least 5+ years of experience building mobile applications, and at least 8+ years of total software engineering experience.
2. You have at least 3+ years experience using React Native to build cross-platform mobile applications.
3. You are comfortable working with JavaScript/Typescript, but also not afraid to jump into Swift or Kotlin as needed.
4. You have knowledge of mobile best practices and stay informed about innovations in the mobile industry.
5. You have a strong understanding of UX/UI concepts and a demonstrated record of design and product sensibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Expertise in unit and integration testing.
2. Experience working with performance analysis tooling.
3. Experience working with Fastlane and/or build automation tooling.
4. Experience influencing product and UX decisions with data.
5. Experience working autonomously with distributed teams.
