Summary
We're seeking a dynamic Startup Programs Lead to drive the planning, execution, and growth of our startup-focused programs. In this role, you will help design and execute programs to provide early-stage startups with the resources, support, and services they need to succeed while being on the front lines of expanding the Algorand blockchain ecosystem.
You will work closely with founders to understand their needs and be the main point of contact for their entrepreneurial journey in the Algorand ecosystem. This includes spotting early-stage builders, networking with founders, and helping projects get off the ground on Algorand. You’ll be engaging directly with builders and making sure high-potential teams see Algorand as the best place to build. Whether it's at events, our Buildathons, pitch competitions, or Web3 meetups, you'll be out there making connections and bringing in the next wave of innovation.
The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of blockchain/web3 ecosystems and hands-on experience working with startups to provide business fundamentals such as revenue models, go-to-market, and user acquisition, and to partner with founders to help them succeed.
This individual contributor role reports to the Head of Ecosystem Funding and Startup Programs and collaborates closely with the Builder Outreach Programs team and cross-functional teams such as DevRel, Marketing, and Algorand Ventures. Together, you will ensure a seamless and successful journey for blockchain builders. You’ll engage directly with startups, mentors, investors, and internal teams to deliver impactful experiences that drive innovation and growth.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and manage startup programs curriculum
- Ensure smooth execution by handling logistics, budgets, and timelines
- Act as the main point of contact for startups in the program
- Provide support, connecting startups with resources, mentors, and services
- Address founders’ questions and challenges, ensuring ongoing support
- Build strong relationships with key ecosystem players (Algorand Ventures, investors, mentors)
- Identify and secure new partnerships to enhance program impact
- Encourage collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and network-building among startups
- Track startup progress and measure program success
- Use data and feedback to improve programs and report on key outcomes to stakeholders
WHO YOU ARE / KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5+ years of experience working with accelerators, incubators, or VC firms
- Strong understanding of startup challenges and entrepreneurial ecosystems
- Excellent at building relationships and managing accounts
- Ability to provide tailored support to different startups
- Experience in helping projects scale and overcome growth challenges
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for blockchain technology, innovation, and supporting entrepreneurs
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Exceptional interpersonal, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
GOOD TO HAVE (OPTIONAL)
- Passion for startup ecosystems with an existing network within Web3 communities.
- Familiarity with Hubspot and data analytics platforms
