Summary

We seek technical-writing candidates with autonomy, a client-first mindset, expertise working in Git, and an understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape. This role is a hybrid/remote position with expectations to work onsite at our Palo Alto, New York, or Toronto office 3 times per week.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and maintain documentation for BitGo product offerings, shaping everything from the information architecture of our Developer Portal to writing integration guides to maintaining API reference.
  2. Full-stack technical writing, responsible for writing developer documentation and UI text for the web application that our clients use.
  3. Ensure documentation meets the needs of diverse BitGo client use-cases.
  4. Provide guidance and develop self-serve resources that enable BitGo engineers to contribute to our documentation as much as possible, while guiding them to become more confident writers.
  5. Consolidate documentation from multiple sources into a cohesive, discoverable user experience.
  6. Offer critical input during product development.
  7. Channel user feedback to improve internal workflows and documentation.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

  1. 3+ years of technical writing experience creating developer documentation
  2. Impeccable writing that exemplifies minimalism and clarity
  3. Able to write according to a style guide
  4. Proficient with command line interpreters (bash, zsh, etc.)
  5. Proficient with GitHub and Git distributed version control
  6. Proficient in Markdown
  7. Understands REST APIs
  8. Able to plan projects and juggle multiple features
  9. Able to work with diverse stakeholders including engineers, designers, project managers, sales, and more

Preferred:

  1. Understands and has a strong interest in cryptocurrency, blockchains, and encryption, or have a proven record of learning complex, technical concepts
  2. Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript
