Summary

SingleStore is seeking a versatile and motivated technical writer with solid SQL/Database knowledge to produce high-quality technical content. This person will be an integral part of the Technical Publications team, tasked with delivering key pieces of technical documentation and helping to make our customers successful. 

Depending on your skill set and interest, this role may also expand to include leadership for a future Bangalore team.

Responsibilities:

1. Create technical documentation for SingleStore products
2. Research and document new SingleStore products and features
3. Edit, maintain, and improve existing SingleStore documentation
4. Create best practices guides and code samples for using SingleStore

Desired Skills and Experience:

1. Must be familiar with SQL and have experience writing for database administrators
2. Database knowledge and experience is a plus
3. MySQL experience is a large plus
4. Experience working with/writing about BI tools is a plus
5. Effectively and proactively communicate with product and engineering teams to gather technical input
6. Demonstrated ability for writing technical content for a developer/technical audience
7. Ability to quickly understand and use SingleStore software and related technologies
8. Strong understanding of software development and the ability to at least read code (SQL and Python knowledge are preferred)
9. Expert English communication skills
10. Ability to work autonomously and self-motivate
11. Ability to work well with a remote team and remote subject matter experts
12. Creativity in simplifying and organizing technical content
