Summary

The Treasury team manages Block's liquidity and access to capital. We ensure that Block has enough cash available to meet the needs of our customers, departments, and foundational teams. We value using data and financial modeling tools to assess our financial position and provide real-time answers to questions about capital, liquidity, and corporate risks.

We are looking for two Treasury Analysts to help grow our global treasury operations team, one role will be based in EST time zone. This role presents the opportunity to work across a variety of core Block business functions, focusing on both domestic and international cash management. You will be a key contributor to maintaining Block’s global liquidity and bank account structure.

You Will

1. Manage fiat and bitcoin liquidity needs across all entities
2. Provide operational support to Treasury transactions including for our in-house notional pool. 
3. Monitor compliance with all cash safeguarding and security requirements related to regulated entities
4. Partner with product and business teams in support of new product offerings.
5. Manage opening/closing of bank accounts, bank account signatory updates, and KYC renewals across global banking platforms
6. Provide operational support for daily cash functions worldwide
7. Prepare and analyze global cash position reports to ensure adequate funding for Block’s operations
8. Support Treasury related requests for annual external audits
9. Partner with internal teams on treasury-related requests
10. Support projects to improve current treasury processes and technologies that facilitate operational efficiencies
11. Coordinate and execute monthly intercompany settlements

You Have

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Corporate Treasury or related field
2. Experience with core cash management, familiarity with a Treasury Management System a plus
3. Strong understanding of financial and operational controls
4. Previous experience with FX settlements
5. Team player who is able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously
6. Candidate must have a strong work ethic, and excel in a fast-paced environment
7. Ability to work independently and to collaborate efficiently with internal and external partners
8. Strong interest in technology / knowledge of the industry
9. Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
10. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
