Summary

Jason Plucinak is a financial professional with 20 years of experience in traditional finance. Currently one of three partners at Legion Capital, Mr. Plucinak serves as VP of Corporate Finance where he is responsible for building, managing, and executing on the firm’s business development, investment distribution channels, and corporate finance initiatives. Jason has raised $95 million for Legion and helped take them public in 2020. Prior to joining Legion, Mr. Plucinak helped build GWG Holdings Inc., a specialty finance corporation. Spanning from 2007 – 2018, he helped structure, launch, and distribute 8 proprietary investment offerings in both retail and institutional marketplaces, cumulatively raising over $1 billion dollars and successfully completing an IPO on Nasdaq in 2014. Mr. Plucinak’s experience encompasses all roles of business development, investment product creation, C-Level/Corporate sales and partnerships, distribution, and financial operational mechanics with a penchant for driving company growth across all departments. He currently holds a FINRA Series 7 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.

Jason has 4 years of personal crypto history and has immersed himself into the on-chain world at an obsessive pace. Beginning with menial CEX accounts in January of 2021, he now breezes across blockchain dapps and bridges utilizing various DeFi protocols, LP Pools, and self-custody wallets of all kinds. Additional personal experience includes staking, tokenomic evaluation, perpetual futures trading, yield farming, and digital asset payment rail comprehension. These experiences have helped Mr. Plucinak build a keen sense of project analysis, risk management, market sentiment, and blockchain interoperability skills. The time has now come to take 20 years of traditional finance experience and fully convert to Web3.
