Introduction to Python

The first module of the course will start with defining Python and understand its use and applications. Students will learn about the reason behind the popularity of Python and its flow control. They will also learn about writing code for a Python program. The first module will also cover interpreted languages, how to use the interpreter, run a Python script, explore Python IDEs and editors, and learn how to use variables, keywords, built-in functions, and more.  

Sequences and File Operations

In the second module of this course, the students will learn about lists, tuples, slicing and indexing, iterating through a sequence, functions for all sequences, and using enumerate(). Along with that, the students will be shown how to define reserved keywords and command line arguments, describe how to get user input from the keyboard and flow control and sequences. To wrap up the second module, the participants will describe and define sets and dictionaries as well as practice working with files.  

Deep Dive – Functions, Sorting, Errors and Exception, Regular Expressions and Packages

In this module, the participants will learn about creating generic Python scripts, extracting or filtering content using regex, and addressing exceptions/errors in the code. The instructor will explain the standard library, define modules, describe packaging and zip archives, and explain various forms and functions of Function Arguments.

Object Oriented Programming in Python

In this course, the students will learn about using standard libraries and object-oriented programming in Python. They will also learn about implementing regular expression and its basic function. The instructor will also talk about developing applications based on Object Oriented Programming and Methods. The students will also learn about instance methods, static methods, private methods and inheritance.  

Debugging, Databases, and Project Skeletons

In this Django bootcamp training module, the students will learn how to debug, how a project skeleton looks like Python, and how to use databases. They will also learn about how to debug Python scripts using IDE and pdb. The instructor will also teach them how to classify errors, develop unit tests and perform CRUD operations on SQLite database.  

Introduction to Django Web Framework

The students will be introduced to Django. They will also learn how to perform URL mapping and create views. The instructors will explain the web3 framework, create a basic Django app, explain the MVC pattern, create views, use URLConf, and use HTTP response and request objects.

Templates and Forms

This module focuses on teaching the participants how to create forms and templates in Django. The instructor will first explain the Django template system. After that, the students will learn in-depth about how to load template files, render templates, create forms, process form data, and customize form field validation.

Models and Dynamic Webpages

In the next module, the participants will learn about how to add Dynamic content to their web pages and how to create database models. The instructor will first define what Database models are and how the students can use model fields. They will also learn about how to populate a CRUD database, use QuerySets for data retrieval, and use jQuery and AJAX with Django to create dynamic websites.

Serialization

In this module, the students will learn how to deserialize and serialize data and create APIs. The instructor will first explain what data serialization is. After that, the participants will learn about using Django’s REST framework, deserializers and serializers, and REST APIs and model serializers.

Parsing XML and JSON with Python

In the final module of this course, the students will learn about how to parse data stored in XML & JSON formats using Python. The instructor will first explain JSON and XML file formats along with what XML-RPC is. The students will end the course with a hands-on demo.
